20 years of consistency during times of change

In 2022, Pascal Investment Advisers achieves its major milestone of 20 years in business, providing unique independent asset management to its client base. The Geneva-based equity investment manager launched by Bertrand Faure has stood the test of time and still uses the same fundamental investment process it created back in 2002. The key contributory factor for this achievement is our distinctive investment approach, built on the belief that high conviction differentiated portfolios of stocks massively outperform indices and peer groups over the long term.

The business that we have today has grown over the years, now encompassing both long only strategies as well as the original long-short strategy. The approach and the investment universe, however, remain unchanged, investing only in Western European stocks. Over the years, the investment team has carried out over 10,000 meetings with European companies and invested in more than 300.

Markets have had their ups and downs during this 20-year period, which has encompassed the 2008 credit crisis, the Eurozone debt crisis and more recently the ongoing Covid pandemic. There have been times when markets have been driven by fundamentals, and times when other themes have been more dominant. Our calm methodical long-term investment approach has successfully dealt with these situations, and the firm has demonstrated time and time again the ability to lay the foundations for outsized gains through an agile active management process.
