Sustainability

Socially responsible investing

SRI is important to Pascal and has been informally incorporated in our investment processes since 2002, before becoming formally integrated in 2019.

  • SRI considerations considered in both the firm’s culture and investment process
  • SRI is not only the right thing to do, but also can materially improve portfolio performance over the long term
  • Over the long-term companies that consider ESG factors tend to produce better returns with lower investment risk profiles

Considering ESG implications

As part of our fundamental analysis we consider ESG implications through:

  • Quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Utilising both independent research, company sustainability reports, and meetings with companies to establish our ESG views on a company
  • Sustainalytics risk scoring, used both to screen investments and independently cross check Pascal’s internal scoring
  • Pascal’s investment committee incorporate ESG in to all the portfolio construction decisions
